General Meeting
Hawk’s Nest Homeowners Association
October 30, 2006
7:30 pm Dublin Justice Center

Board Members Present: Teri Strohm, Trish Roush, Matt Robinson, Ali Randall, Cara Tomallo

Paul Knipshcheer and Jim Hall from Neighborhood Networks presented information regarding the N2 Newsletter. This is a high quality, professionally designed newsletter which will have information regarding neighborhood activities, pictures, community events, classified ads, etc. This is a FREE service, paid for by local advertisers.

It was decided to change the format of the current HNHA newsletter. It will now be distributed by Neighborhood Networks. For more information, go to www.n2pub.com.
A committee will need to be established to gather news, events and pictures for the newsletter.

Landscape Committee Report

A neighborhood complaint was discussed regarding the planting of trees too close together in another neighbor’s yard. The Board decided that since the landscape falls within Dublin Code, and it is more a matter of personal preference, this is not a matter in which the Board should be involved.

The mailbox staining is complete

Entrances have been pruned for fall and the irrigation systems have been winterized

Core aeration and fall fertilization is planned

Matt feels that a new company, who has a better understanding of perennials, needs to be found for the landscape maintenance next year.

No replacement for the Landscape Committee chair has been found yet, but Joey Vacarri will be contacted to see if he is interested in this position.

Social Committee Update

Next year’s co-chairs will be Teri Strohm and Jeannie Vacarri
The Welcome Committee will be headed by Trish Roush and Christie Heinlen

The Dinner Club needs someone to head it, or it may be cancelled

The Holiday Party will be held on Dec. 3rd from 4:30-7 @ the Dublin Rec. Center

New Business

The Database information upkeep will be done by the Secretary, Cara Tomallo

Cara Tomallo will reserve the Justice Hall for the 2007 HNHA meetings

Old Business

People who received lawn care letters have made attempts to clean up their yards and it is greatly appreciated

Soccer signs have been changed for the fall season and there should be no more problems with soccer parking

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 pm
