General Meeting

Hawk’s Nest Homeowner’s Association

April 28, 2008

7:30 pm Dublin Justice Center

Board Members Present:  Ali Randall, Emily Preble, Mike Sherbun, and Patti Drumm.

The President’s Report included an update of the Easter Egg hunt.  It was a success, headed by Michele Hedderman and her volunteers.  The report also included an update of a neighborhood garage sale May 16 and 17 headed by Robin Breidenbach and updates of upcoming summer family happy hours in the neighborhood.  Michele Coss is preparing a newsletter which will contain pertinent dates and locations.

The treasurer’s report included the dues report.  At this time there were only 22 delinquent homes and a reminder letter had been sent out April 1.  The liens process for 2008 was reviewed and it was discussed that 2 previous liens had been recouped so far this year.  On 6-1-2008, the liens process will start for the 2008 unpaid dues.  As always, it was stressed that less than 10% of our dues pay for social events, where the majority goes to landscape/beautification/maintenance of the neighborhood.

The Landscape report included a brief update for 2008 and an update on the process still underway of getting the lights at the Brand Road entrance fixed.  Specific Landscape report is on file in the secretary notebook for homeowners to read if interested.  Also, mailbox stain and conformity was discussed and the details were to go out in a future newsletter.

The only new business included a homeowner complaint of Christmas lights still up in April, and the homeowner asked if this could be added to our by-laws that lights must be down by a certain date.  The board voted that this could easily be handled by a phone call and it would not be added to the by-laws.

The meeting was adjourned.
