Landscaping Spring is an important time of the year to establish a healthy lawn and landscaping. Last year's hot and dry summer took its toll of lawns. A little work now will pay off this summer. May is a good time to repair any bare spots in the lawn. Keep newly seeded areas moist for 3 or 4 weeks. It is also a good time to make sure your shrubs and trees are properly pruned and mulched in order to moderate temperatures, maintain soil moisture, deter weeds, and enhance the attractiveness of your yard. If we desire that the selling prices in Hawk's Nest continue to increase faster than other communities, we need to be conscious of our image. We all need to work together, since a few unkempt homes reflect on the entire neighborhood.
